I've been reviewing misc. items on Amazon since June 2015. Unfortunately, Amazon has been cracking down on reviewers lately and getting rid of good reviewers for no reason. I was in one of the most recent groups to get their reviews suppressed without much of an explanation other than that I "may have" been manipulating reviews (not true, but arguing was futile).
I reviewed on Amazon because I like to shop and I like to write. I like to test items and take photos and videos and explain how things work and the good and bad qualities about each item. I spent a lot of my own free time doing these reviews and I still have some to write, so I decided to revamp this stagnant blog and put my reviews here.
Many of the items I received were received either free or at a discount in exchange for my honest review. I am never paid for or coerced into writing a good review. I don't do this just for free "stuffs". Many items that I receive are donated to charity once I test and review them.
My goal is to help both the sellers and the customers. 3rd party sellers on Amazon.com need reviews to make them relevant among all the competition. As a buyer, I am much more likely to purchase an item that has reviews than doesn't. I like to help the customer make an informed decision.
That being said, while there is fact in reviews, there is also opinion and each person's opinions differ. We can agree to disagree. I really just try to do the best I can to write a well written, thoughtful review of the product that is beneficial to consumer. If the product is great, it also becomes beneficial to the seller and becomes a win-win for everyone.
Reviewers also help sellers improve just launched products. If there is an issue with the product, packaging, unclear instructions, etc... we can let the seller know and they can fix it prior to it being sent to a large amount of unhappy customers.
Reviewing is all about Integrity.
